Abstract

<p>Based on archival data on the activities of the veterinary service of the Russian Empire, a list of especially dangerous infectious diseases of domestic animals is given; the role of the veterinary service in the prevention of these nosological forms is shown; the main legislative acts concerning the prevention of infectious diseases of animals are considered.</p>
